Welcome to the Legends Site!

This site presents tradition native legends in a multimedia format to you. These stories here are from the Northwestern Ontario Region in Canada.

Currently there is the Saga of Iyash available. It is the story of a young man and his journeys in life.

The legends are available in English and Oji-Cree. The Oji-Cree is written in Syllabics for which you will need specials fonts. You can download these fonts at the Native Language Page on K-Net. The instructions are there as well.

The stories are also available to be heard in English and Oji-Cree Real Audio. Real Audio is an audio stream format which requires an extra plug-in to be downloaded to your computer. You can get this plugin at:
